About Us

Char opened Southern Grace Mercantile in Knoxville, TN in January of 2014. Being a small business owner is a labor of love, sweat and tears. Char is also a high school Chemistry Teacher in Anderson County TN. Most days you will find Kelly, her right hand at the shop. 

We love to make most of the items in the store or we buy in small batches from local makers what we do not make ourselves. About 25% of the store features wholesale items not made locally. 

We have a rustic farmhouse vibe and often the store smells of fresh pine cut wood, stains and paints mixed with a little of our favorite candle of the day.

If you are coming from our of town make sure to let us know so we can be sure to be at the store to greet you, chat and maybe even craft a bit with you.
